Brand focus: Standing out from the crowd. Sedulo Wealth’s new brand and website

Let me introduce you to Sedulo Wealth, a successful financial planning and wealth management company with offices in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and London.

Their vision

Sedulo Wealth is led by Jon and Christy, both of whom share a passion to do things differently. Theirs is a vision of a modern financial service, one that’s more efficient, and properly aligned with their clients’ interests.

Sedulo Wealth is a part of the Sedulo Group, notable as one of the fastest growing mid-tier business advisory firms in the UK. Being part of the group means they can offer more choice than a typical adviser. This is a significant advantage, but the Sedulo Wealth brand wasn’t standing out among the wider group. Even as a part of the group Sedulo Wealth has its own marketing and performance goals. To achieve them it would need a separate, but connected, brand and website.

Stand alone, together

Sedulo Wealth needed a great brand and website, so they’d need a great brand and website agency. An agency with creativity, technical know-how, and industry expertise. Jon got in touch with PLOTT after finding us online. He’d seen work we had done for other companies in the financial services sector, and liked what he’d seen.

PLOTT gets to work

Jon’s ideas and ambition for Sedulo Wealth were music to our ears. We knew right from the start that we’d need to create an interconnected, but separate brand and website. We’ve often said that how a financial planner works reflects how we work – discovery, plan, delivery and review. We also loved how Sedulo Wealth’s values and attitudes aligned with ours. Doing just enough, just isn’t enough.

We began the brand creative journey by getting together PLOTT and Sedulo Wealth for a branding workshop. The brand positioning, values, voice and purpose follow from the workshop. As did the new strapline: Plan for life.

When we create a brand it’s all connected, so we curated a suite of images to represent the strapline. Each shows a universal life-moment, one that takes planning. For the photos of the team at work, we gave creative direction to a local photographer, briefing them on what we needed. The shots exude personality and warmth, which is a true reflection of this genuine and friendly team.

Consumer understanding

With the introduction of consumer duty we needed our copywriting to be simple and easily understood, but warm, professional and elegant. And we’d need a top-tier website to deliver their message, one that is operable, understandable and perceivable to all.

All our websites offer baked-in functionality that’s above a typical build. Speed, SEO readiness, and accessibility. With high scores across the board Sedulo Wealth’s new website is a great launching pad for their new brand.

We’re continuing our work with Sedulo Wealth, with a brochure, documentation and folder to form their client onboarding pack.
